One album that I hear to even today is Stereo Nations - Nachangi Saari Raat, Pyar Ho Gaya Kisise. Lucky Ali came to the limelight with his ever soulful songs O Sanam, Dekha Hai Aise Bhi. Colonial Cousins - Sa Ni Dha Pa, Krishna songs cannot be missed. Mohit Chauhan's Silk Route, Shaan's - Tanha Dil also were quite a hit in those times. Contributing to my everlasting madness for listening to music. On repeat mode listening to Ab Mujhe Raat Din, thanks to my brother who had this amazing craze of having his own cassette collection. Like my, all-time favorite was Sonu Nigam and his Deewana album. Growing up in the '90s had a host of other budding singers like Falguni Pathak, Palash Sen, and every Bollywood singer to gain popularity, recognition wanted to try their hands in this genre too. Anamika, Anaida, Bali Brahmbhatt, Bombay Vikings the names that are long lost. Mehendi ceremony could not be complete without the Models song Mehendi Ki Raat. Any fashion show could not go complete without Suneeta Rao's - Pari Hoon Main. To name a few are Anupama Verma, Shahid Kapoor, Ria Sen, Malaika. I think a lot of actors made their debut or we caught their first glimpse in the Pop songs. Shweta Shetty's - Johny Joker, Nazia Hassan's & Biddu's Remix- Boom Boom. The eyes drooling Milind Soman cannot be missed in that song □ Well writing about it itself is taking me back to the memory lane of the playlist we all heard growing up -the first few songs I had heard was Alisha Chinai's - Made In India song from the same album. Amidst the rock, jazz one important genre growing up was pop music. My interest in music has been from childhood days, I am sure most of us tried bathroom singing too. We all in the recent past got time to sit back and re-live our childhood days!! The pandemic made us do things that we would have otherwise never dreamt of doing.
